Claudia Förster Ribet
PhD Student
Biography
Claudia is a PhD student funded by the International Research Training Group 2773 “Risks and Pathomechanisms of Affective Disorders”, and works both at the University Hospital Dresden (Germany) and within the MBP Lab, King’s College London.
With a background in psychology and cognitive-affective neuroscience, she is particularly interested in understanding behavioural and neurobiological mechanisms that underpin mental disorders. Her research focuses on exploring the interactions between mental health and biological systems, including metabolism, hormones and the immune system. Currently, she investigates the interplay of metabolic disorders with physical activity and depression.
Additionally, she uses ecological momentary assessment to analyse everyday fluctuations in emotion regulation, motivation and mood, and their impact on mental well-being.
