Lucia Maggioni

Biography
Lucia is a clinical psychologist and a PhD student in Neuroscience at the University of Verona, where her research focuses on biomarkers for the clinical evaluation and characterisation of major depressive disorder. She recently completed a visiting research period at the MBP Lab at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London, where she expanded her expertise in the field of psychoneuroimmunology.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Trento, where she was selected for the Excellence Programme (Top 5%) and awarded a scholarship to conduct her thesis research at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Alongside her research activities, Lucia has gained clinical experience across several hospital settings, working in psychological assessment, psychological support, and group interventions with patients affected by mood disorders, psychosis, and medical conditions.
