Postdoctoral Researcher
Biography
Theresa is an alumni of the International Research Training Group for the Risks and Pathomechanisms of Affective Disorders (IRTG 2773), a joint graduate programme between King's College London and TU Dresden, during which she worked within the MBP Lab. She continues to collaborate with the lab on an ongoing basis.
Her PhD research focused on the relationship between metabolism and affective symptoms, and her thesis, "Incretin and Appetite-Regulating Hormones in Anorexia Nervosa and Their Association with Eating Disorder-Related and Affective Symptoms," examined how gut-hormone signalling relates to both eating disorder pathology and mood.
She completed her PhD this year and is now based at TU Dresden as a postdoctoral researcher within CRC/TRR 393 "Trajectories of Affective Disorders," where she continues her work in affective disorder research in the multi-centre study
